Oddfellows in Bishop Arts is awesome.
Enjoying some iced teas in Boulder on our day off with Shoshanna. We’re going to watch the sun set at Red Rocks.
We played our last UMS festival show tonight at Hi-Dive right after Denver natives Porlolo. Really fun night. Now trying to get some rest. Nate’s dogs, Leroy and Hank, are awesome, but are making me miss my dog a lot.
Denver is a tough town
Seco Pearl-The day before yesterday we finished taking a dip in some hot springs in the Rio Grande gorge and arrived at the artist community of Arroyo Seco. It was a fun show with a local musician and a jazz coronetist.
Never under estimate the power of air conditioning.
We just finished our 3 hour set at Cowgirl BBQ in Santa Fe and apparently made more money than Blues Traveler when they played here. How ‘bout that? Now we are looking for a free place to stay. Probably not gonna happen.
Cleanliness next to godliness
Upgrade. See you in 12 hours Albuquerque.
On the road again. For all you VW owners out there, the Bug Clinic in Bryan, Texas is the best shop in the Lonestar State. On to Albuquerque by way of Holly Lake Ranch, north of Tyler for a pit stop and vehicle change. Next show at the Marble Brewery on the 20th.
The van is officially broken down and our Lubbock show is unfortunately cancelled. Albuquerque is still on. Hopefully. Caldwell, Texas is home to the most generous people in the world. Stop at Jake’s Restaurant if you ever come through. Miss Gladys will fix you up. We are getting towed to Bryan to a Volkswagen shop and if all goes right, we’ll be near Tyler by tonight to get my grandparents van for the rest of the trip. So, if the Good Lord’s willing and the creeks don’t rise, we’ll be on our way to New Mexico tonight.
Letting the van cool down in a beautiful Texas rest-stop/drainage ditch after a false-alarm breakdown.
We finally broke the speed limit. Down hill.
